On Tuesday 31 March 2026 the Corriere dell'Umbria ran a full column on Devhook under the headline "Da Bastia Umbra verso il mondo: la storia di Devhook", on a page produced with Breinstorm, our partner for public funding. Here is what the paper wrote, in short.

A startup in the heart of Umbria

The article opens on the paradox: one of the most international young tech companies of the region has its roots in Bastia Umbra. Devhook, an innovative startup founded in December 2025, has built in a few months a client base that spans Italy, Switzerland, Germany, the United States and Singapore. The three founders, Amedeo Cecconi, Philip Giuppini and Alessandro Cecconi, bring complementary backgrounds: economics, artificial intelligence and strategy on one side, marketing and international business development on the other, on a technical base of software engineering, data science and distributed systems.

The bet on healthcare

The paper describes the direction the company has taken towards the health and care sector: reducing bureaucracy, optimising processes and freeing time and resources absorbed by administrative inefficiency, so that every euro saved can go back into patient care. Devhook has already won a first significant commission in the field.

Bastia Umbra as a choice, not a limit

Why stay? The founders' answer, quoted in the article: "Umbria offers quality of life, sustainable costs and a network of human relationships that is hard to build in big cities. We do not need to be in Milan or Zurich to work with clients in Zurich." Distributed work and a presence in Switzerland, where Philip coordinates business development, make an Italian-Swiss model that looks at Europe without giving up its Umbrian identity.

The closing line is the one we like best: "From Bastia Umbra to the world. With our feet planted in Umbria."
