On 24 September 2026 Amedeo, Philip and Alessandro were in Milan for the Business Partner meeting of Partner 24 ORE, the network of professionals, consultants and entrepreneurs run by Il Sole 24 ORE. Devhook has been part of it since 2026.

The format is a roundtable: a few dozen firms around one table, a moderator from the newspaper, and a working session where every company brings the problems it sees in its own market. No slides, no pitches. The conversation that comes out is worth more than most conferences.

What we heard

  • Almost every firm at the table, whatever its sector, described the same thing: information typed by hand from one system into another, and decisions waiting on someone to reconcile it.
  • Small and mid-sized companies are not short of software. They are short of one accountable contact who answers for the whole stack.
  • Artificial intelligence is on everyone's agenda, but the question that matters is narrower: which recurring task, this month, can it take off a person's desk?

What we brought

Our answer to those three points is the way we already work: an external IT function with one name and one phone number, custom software built around the process as it really runs, and short cycles where the client tests working software every four weeks and owns the code at go-live.

Thanks to Il Sole 24 ORE and the Partner 24 ORE team for the invitation and the organisation. Some of the conversations started at that table are already continuing by email. If you were there and want to pick one up, write to us.
