On 19 and 20 May 2026 Devhook was at AI Week in Milan, the seventh edition of the event at Fiera Milano Rho, with more than 25,000 attendees expected from 78 countries. We went with the whole team, not only the founders: for a company our size, two days of talks and stands are the fastest way to see where the market actually is.

What we took home
- The gap between demos and production is still the whole game. Almost every talk ended on the same point: models are easy to try and hard to run inside a real process, with real data and real accountability.
- Mid-sized companies are asking narrower questions than a year ago. Not "what can AI do", but "which task, this quarter, can it take off someone's desk". That is the question DevCore is built around.
- The people worth talking to were at the smaller stands and in the corridors, not on the big stages.

The founders meetup
Philip took part in the Startup Founders Meetup, a short round of pitches between founders. Devhook's three minutes were about the same idea we tell clients: the smallest piece of software that removes the most manual work, shipped every four weeks, with the code staying with the client.

Thanks to the AI Week organisers and to the companies that stopped by. Several of those conversations have turned into meetings since.
